This Wordcloud reflects this class' methods of engagement for students and teachers. We are able to use each of these outlets to learn and engage with the classroom. The fact that this class basically functions solely online, makes engagement possible from any location at any time of day. I am able to use these outlets to fall back on as resources for my assignments in this class, or in other classes if they are applicable.

![]() Individually we created charts that outlined how we used the internet, as either Visitors or Residents. I chose to place Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Desire 2 Learn, and my Personal & School email accounts onto my chart along the axes I felt they belonged. It was interesting, for myself, to see where I thought to place the various websites according to how I use them. Here is my own chart that I made in class... As a teacher, it would be interesting to conduct this activity in the classroom to see what websites my students interact on the most. By learning where students spend their time, I could learn to incorporate those websites in the classroom... if at all possible. For example, if my students spent most of their time as Residents on Facebook, I could create a private group for my students to interact together outside of class time. This group could be used for homework discussion, or even classroom announcements (from either the myself or the students). Or another example could be to create a Snapchat group for the students to use in an activity that would involve them exploring and documenting their findings. This would give the students a collection of their peer's findings to watch as they happen. (For example, if the assignment was to photograph monuments in your area, this would give the students an opportunity to explore beyond their surrounding neighbourhood. |
